The 2025 cricket season has been nothing short of incredible, with Term 1 and Term 4 delivering plenty of action across all grades. Term 1 kicked off with amazing playing conditions, and strong competition across both boys’ and girls’ divisions. We saw outstanding participation, with a total of 50 girls teams and 229 boys teams throughout the season, showcasing the continued growth and enthusiasm for cricket in Auckland.
A huge congratulations to Epsom Girls Grammar School, who claimed the Girls’ Premier Grade title. A fantastic achievement! Congratulations also to Takapuna Grammar School for claiming the Auckland spot in the girls New Zealand Secondary School Cricket Cup.
Term 4 brought the season to an exciting close, and we are thrilled to congratulate Auckland Grammar School for winning the Boys’ Premier Grade! They will now represent Auckland in the New Zealand Secondary School Cricket Cup, and we wish them the very best as they take on the national stage.
Despite some challenging weather in Term 4, the level of participation and competition remained outstanding. Congratulations to all the students who played their part in making this season memorable.
A big thank you to Jigna at Auckland Cricket for all her hard work throughout the whole season. Her huge effort does not go unnoticed, and we wouldn’t be able to host as many teams and games without her help coordinating council wickets.
We look forward to seeing everyone back next year, hopefully with a little more sunshine!
