On Thursday 21st August we held our Premier and A1 Hockey Girls Finals at LEP.

We started with our A1 Final between Mahurangi and Pukekohe, Mahurangiwon 3-2 in a close game where both teams were playing high quality hockey. Both teams will have the opportunity in 2026 to play promotion/relegation for a spot in the premier competition.

In the Premier Final between Westlake Girls and St Cuthbert's it was a close game with a few chances for both teams before Westlake Girls scored 1-0 in the third quarter to break the 0-0 deadlock. St Cuthbert's scored off a penalty corner with 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter to make it 1-1 before one last chance by Westlake Girls in the last 20 seconds of the game scoring off a penalty corner, making it 2-1 and the final score. One exciting game of Hockey!

Congratulations to Mahurangi and Westlake Girls for winning their finals, and all the best to every team that is competing in tournament week.
