The 2009 ASB Young Sportswoman of the Year is Samantha Harrison of Diocesan School for Girls
Member of her schools team who were winners of the Auckland Secondary School Inter City Competition and winners of the New Zealand Secondary School Federation Cup.
She is a member of the Auckland Under 18 and Under 21 teams and the Auckland Womens's National League team. She was selected in the New Zealand Under 21 Junior Black Sticks and is a member of the New Zealand Senior Black Sticks scoring 2 goals in the Champions Challenge in South Africa where they finished first.

The 2009 ASB Young Sportsman of the Year from is Robert Loe of Westlake Boys High School
A member of his schools' premier team for 5 years that once again placed number one in the Auckland Premier League, at the New Zealand Secondary School tournament he was selected in the tournament team and voted MVP.
He has been a member of the New Zealand Junior Tall Blacks for the past 4 years and was this year selected as a New Zealand Tall Black standing at 2.11metres at 17 years of age.
He was the youngest player ever selected for the Tall Blacks and toured this year to Europe and Australia. He is New Zealand Basketballs Hottest young talent.
